We are pleased to share our 48th weekly epidemiological bulletin for the year 2020. This epidemiological bulletin serves to inform all stakeholders at district, national, and global levels on disease trends, public health surveillance and interventions undertaken in detecting, preventing and responding to public health events in Uganda on a weekly basis.A total of 7 AFP cases was reported during week 47 compared with 15 cases reported in week 46 The 7 AFP cases were reported from; Bukedea 1, Isingiro 1, Katakwi 1, Mbarara 1, Ntungamo 1, Pader 1 and Sironko 1. The Non-polio AFP rate is 1.65/100,000 children 0 - 14 years compared with 2.64/100,000 children 0 -14 years in 2019 The adequate samples collection rate is 91.85% compared with 90.64% in 2019 NPENT rate is 11.91% compared with NPENT rate of 14.90% in 2019 Pader and Sironko joined the set of districts which have detected and investigated at least one AFP case in year 2020 Silent districts; Agago, Amudat, Amolatar, Alebtong, Busia, Gomba, Jinja, Kalungu, Kitagwenda, Kamuli, Kyankwanzi, Madi Okollo, and Rubanda
