Description

This epidemiological bulletin serves to inform all stakeholders at district, national, and global levels on disease trends, public health surveillance and interventions undertaken in detecting, preventing and responding to public health events in the country on a weekly basis. In this issue, we bring you the following among others  National and district weekly surveillance reporting  Suspected epidemic prone diseases.  Uganda updates on COVID-19  Regional reporting rates  Public health events in border countriesCOVID-19 as 0f 15th June 2020  705 Cumulative cases of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country  148442 specimens collected and tested  299 cumulative total recoveries  406 cases on admission  1272 contacts on follow-up Cholera outbreak in Moroto and Nakapiripirit  355 cases with 2 deaths in Moroto District  3 confirmed cases in Nakapiripirit  13 cases- patents still on admission  340 case-patients discharged  Eleven parishes have reported cases  Loputuk parish has the highest number of case- patients (207)  Reactive Oral Cholera vaccine re-scheduled for 15th to 19th June  Targeted sub counties for OCV include; North and South Divisions, Nadunget, Rupa and Katikekile .
