Description

This weekly epidemiological bulletin serves to inform all stakeholders at district, national, and global levels on disease trends, public health surveillance and interventions undertaken in detecting, preventing and responding to public health events in the country on a weekly basis. In this issue, we bring you the following Highlights,�Average national weekly surveillance reporting rate was at 79%,�Poor reporting have been observed in 10 districts of Mityana, Kiboga, Kiryandongo, Wakiso, Pader, Mukono, Iganga, Kitgum,Bugiri and Kotido.�Malaria is the leading public health event (Page 1)�9 maternal deaths were registered.157 perinatal deaths were registered.Week 46, the reporting rates were as follows; National rate was 78.9% more than 78.0% in week 45, Central regional had 68.7% more than 68.2% in week 45, Eastern region had 75.8% less than 76.3% in week 45, Western was 85.7%) more than 85.5 in week 45, Northern was (85.5%) less than 82.1% in Week 45, (Refer to Annex 1.). 23% (31/135) of the districts achieved 100% 54.8% (74/135) of the districts achieved the target of 80%, 7.4% (10/135) had reporting rates less than 60%.
