Description
The 2022 Ugandan polio SIA was conceived with the notion that the number of unimmunized children over the years through routine immunization and the additional impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on routine immunization in the region led to the accumulation of susceptibility overtime leading to cVDPV2 outbreaks that leave Uganda with its porous borders at risk of cVDPV2. This report is a documentation of a successful Countrywide implementation of the Round 1 SIAs Polio campaign in a total of 140 districts including cities between the 14th and 21st of January 2022.
