Uganda��s economic performance has been impressive in the past decade. The average real rate of GDP growth has been 6.9 per annum since 1990/91. Significant progress has been registered in trade liberalisation, privatisation, civil service reform, financial sector reforms and decentralisation initiatives. Information and Communication Technology (ICT), just like other economic sectors, registered significant growth over the same period.
